Soft Christmas Sugar Cookies Recipe
It's my favorite time of the year, and I love making all types of Christmas cookies for the holidays. Soft Christmas Sugar Cookies Recipe ❤️ easy to make.
Ingredients Dough:
- 3 cups All-purpose Flour (your choice)
- 2 Tsp. Baking powder
- 1/2 Tsp. Salt
- 1 cup or 1 stick Butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup. milk or half & half
- 2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 pack of Icing (Use your favorite icing)
- Food coloring (4 pack of colors blue, green, red, yellow) or your favorite colors
Directions/ Baking:
- Preheat the oven to 350. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together separately wet ingredients and dry ingredients. Then mix wet and dry ingredients together. Set aside.
- Divide the dough in half. (Please note if the dough is too soft, add flour and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Then cut out and bake)
- Roll out each half on a lightly floured surface to an inch thick, then cut with 2 to 3-inch cookie cutters. Re-roll any scrap pieces of sugar cookie dough and cut out more cookies as needed. Place the cookies 2-inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake in separate batches at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until the tops of the cookies are set and very lightly browned.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack or parchment paper to finish cooling.
Directions/ Icing:
- Separate the pre-bought icing into 4 mixing bowls and add food coloring as needed.
- Apply icing and decorations to the sugar cookies.
- Let cookies sit for 10 minutes with icing before eating them.
