Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to absorb the milk.
  3. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet (or press it into the loaf pan).
  5. In a small bowl, mix the glaze ingredients (ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard). Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
