Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a timeless dessert, perfect for any occasion. Whether it's Valentine's Day, a party, or just a sweet treat for yourself, these elegant berries are simple to make and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh strawberries (washed and dried completely)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or your preferred chocolate)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly. Ensure they are completely dry to avoid the chocolate from seizing.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, covering about 3/4 of the berry. Let the excess chocolate drip off before placing it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. If desired, melt the white chocolate and drizzle over the dipped strawberries using a fork or piping bag.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set. Serve chilled and enjoy!
