Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add beef stew meat and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add flour to the skillet and stir for 1 minute to make a roux. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and stir to coat. Simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until the beef is tender and the sauce is creamy.
  6. Serve the creamy beef mixture over cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.
