Sausage Stuffed Jalapeños Recipe

Spicy, savory, and incredibly cheesy—these sausage stuffed jalapeños are the perfect party appetizer that will leave everyone wanting more.

Sausage Stuffed Jalapeños

Ingredients

  • 12 large fresh jalapeños
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Stuff each jalapeño half with the sausage and cheese mixture, slightly mounding the filling.
  6. Place the stuffed jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
