With a kick of spice from chili powder and red pepper flakes, this American classic is perfect for those who love bold flavors. It's a quick, one-pan meal that’s sure to be a hit at your dinner table!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (or any pasta of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into crumbles. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. While the sauce is simmering, cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine with the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve the goulash with shredded cheddar cheese on top (optional). Enjoy!
