  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Add cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, thyme, and hot sauce. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  5. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.
