Spicy Cream of Mushroom Chicken

Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Add cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, thyme, and hot sauce. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.
