Soft & Flaky Paratha Recipe
Paratha is a flaky, buttery Indian flatbread made with whole wheat flour. It's perfect for pairing with egg bhurji, curries, or even enjoying with yogurt and pickles.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour (atta)
- ¾ cup water (adjust as needed)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil or ghee (for dough)
- 2 tbsp ghee or butter (for cooking)
Instructions:
Step 1: Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt.
- Gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough (about 8 minutes).
- Add 1 tbsp oil or ghee and knead again for 2 minutes.
- Cover and let the dough rest for 20-30 minutes.
Step 2: Roll the Parathas
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
- Roll each ball into a 6-inch circle on a floured surface.
- Brush with ghee, fold in half, then brush again and fold into a triangle.
- Roll it out again to a thin triangular shape.
Step 3: Cook the Parathas
- Heat a tawa or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place a paratha on the pan and cook for 30 seconds until bubbles form.
- Flip and apply ghee or butter on top. Cook for another 30-40 seconds.
- Flip again, press gently, and cook until golden brown spots appear.
- Repeat for all parathas.
